ABOUT ME

Throughout my entire life, I have always desired to travel and visit the various European countries along the Mediterranean. My mother’s father was born in Bologna, Italy and i’ve always aspired to see that city one day for myself. My family’s financial situation left no room for an all paid expense trip to Europe, and the fact that my parents had triplets didn’t make it any more feasible. If they chose to somehow pay for my desired trip, they must do they same for the rest of my siblings. I’ve always aspired to travel, and I always thought of it as an opportunity to learn various cultures and possibly find myself as a person. Putting matters in my own hands, I decided to quit the sport I love, soccer, and acquire a job part time at my local Winn-Dixie. I had devised a plan that layed out my work schedule and potential earnings if I had worked every day of the week for a certain amount of hours, which allowed me to see how much income I would accumulate after a year of working. I knew that I would have to develop discipline in order to keep up with my academics and work, which I did in the end. Before I knew it, two years of high school flew by and I had saved enough of my working income to afford a five day trip to a Greece and Italy. The consisted of a bus ride that would take me from Athens, Greece to a city along the coast of Italy. Before I knew it, I was ready to fly to Greece with a few other students from my school to tackle this exciting adventure together. We had finally arrived to Athens, and I immediately acknowledged a difference with people’s demeanors and fashion sense. Spending the next two days in Athens allowed me to embrace the history of Greece and indulge in a variety of different Greek cuisines. I learned that Greek people in general are very inviting and generous to tourists, which I really appreciated because I had so many questions to ask like “why is Acropolis called what it is” and “what is the best greek dish”. Eventually, the time had come to leave Greece and visit Naples, Italy. In a flash, we had entered the Italian coast city of Naples, with breathtaking views of the beach and coastal cliffs. The tour group I was a part of stopped by a small restaurant that overlooked the coast of Positano, which was a sight I will never forget. I enjoyed my sicilian lunch very much, and I had tried a new drink called “limoncello”. With time, It was time to return back to Florida and the trip of my dreams had come to an end. Overall, I had enjoyed my time in Europe and I learned an array of facts from each city I had encountered. It was an experience I will never forget, and it had taught me that anything I desire is possible if I work diligently enough for it. More importantly, I found myself as a person and have learned that I want to study international business in college. I can’t wait what the future holds!
